Things change fast!

My blood count was too low to get my chemo infusion today. I did have my appointment with Dr. Gilbert and my radiation treatment, though. Dr. Gilbert was very encouraging. She continues to believe my tongue looks better. She does predict that I will need a partial neck dissection after chemo and radiation are done to remove the nodes involved on the left side of my neck. They aren't shrinking enough at this point to make her think they will be back to normal after treatment. Of course, that remains to be seen. God is still in control of my health. I am not discouraged by this news. I trust He will see me through whatever treatment is indicated.

The plan now is for my blood to be rechecked on Friday morning in hopes of doing my chemo infusion later that day. I pray this will happen if it is God's best.

Radiation went well today - only 17 treatments to go! That sounds so much better than 33!

Thanks for praying and keep it up. You must get tired of me asking that, but it just means so much - every single prayer. I know there are times when you least expect it that I need your prayers so much and am benefiting from them intensely.

May God bless you all richly.

Its really an honor to pray for you. I mean, we get to talk to God on your behalf!! Wow, that's really amazing when you think about it. I have learned something through this already about the power of prayer. I know that praying is truly the strongest and greatest way any of us can help you during this season. So many prayers have already been answered.

God continues to show that He is at work - in the little things of each day (like, mom being home when she's usually not) and in big things (the tumor is responding!). I'm grateful to Him for being so generous to provide constant reminders that yes, He IS at work, on the smallest to the greatest of details.

Ps. 86:6-7 Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; And attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon you, For You will answer me.

We are praying for you, D, and I know He will continue to answer!

Daniel,
I was talking with my friend yesterday who told me she had been reading your blog. It has been an encouragement and challenge to her. God is using you and this extremely hard circumstance in so many ways to bring Him glory by pointing others to His truth.

So, I've got my topics I'm going to talk with him about - and you are definitely on that list!!! Know you'll be prayed for this week as I'm on vacation!!!

I am sorry to hear that you did not get to receive your chemo yesterday as scheduled. All things happen for a reason and we will pray that Friday your counts will be back up and you can forge ahead :) Dr. Gilbert does sound encouraging! Thank goodness for that. We know God is in complete control and you may not need that neck dissection. Congratulations on your radiation countdown! 17 to go sounds great! Your MS Family will continue to pray and lift you up... Tammy and family

Hello there, I don't know you, but I was led to your blog via someone else's blog. I just have to say that your unwavering faith in His plan for you is so inspiring for someone like me who has such a hard time truly letting go and just trusting Him. Thanks for being such a wonderful example of God's love! I will certainly pray for you now that I have found your blog, and I will most certainly never tire of praying for someone who demonstrates such amazing faith. Blessings,
Brianne
